Workshop in Responsible Leadership in Transparency and Good Governance

Transparency and Good Governance are fundamental to society and impact in all aspects of National and County government: everything from management of resources, economic growth and trust in government.

Due to this on 11 October, in conjunction with the office of the DCC- Rabai we managed to conduct a workshop titled: Responsible Leadership on Transparency and Good Governance which was targeting departmental heads of Rabai both at National and County Government plus all local leaders.

In this workshop which was held at DCC Boardroom, we managed to train leaders and our aim was to raise awareness about the social, economic and political benefits of transparency. Also we managed to examine the concept of corruption and ways that individual can identify and create ways to eliminate it.

Moreover in this workshop we managed to bring key stakeholders to come together to strategically identify challenges facing youth's that needs to be addressed, brainstorming ideas to find ways to solve them and also developing a step by step plan of action.

As KambeRibe Lamukani Youth forum, we believe that by increasing the level of community participation in the process, we are also increasing the level of community buy - in and likelihood that they'll see the project through to the end.

Once we have inspired the leaders to act, our next task is to maintain the momentum by keeping them motivated.
